On October 21, the Scientific Development Forum of Medium and Small Cities in China was held in Beijing, while the results of scientific development research & evaluation system on small and medium cities were released at the same time. Wujin District, with its outstanding performance in urban and rural integration, social and livelihood development, investment environment and other aspects, was ranked the 3rd of the National Top 100 Districts 2013. Shunde District of Foshan and Yinzhou District of Ningbo were placed the first and second respectively.

Meanwhile, Wujin also claimed the No.1 of Small and Medium Cities with Most Investment Potential 2013, followed by Shunde and Nanhai Districts of Foshan, Panyu District of Guangzhou, Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, and Wujiang District of Suzhou.
