On the afternoon of September 22nd, Mr. Özcan Şahin, Consul General of the Turkish Consulate General in Shanghai, attended the opening ceremony of the 2015 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and was received by Mr. Fei Gaoyun, Mayor of Changzhou, in the Administration Center.
Fei said Changzhou and Eskisehir, Turkey were officially twinned in 2009, after which the two cities have carried out exchange and cooperation in the areas of economy,culture, social undertakings, etc. At present, a total of 15 Turkish companies have invested in Changzhou. In 2009, Aksa Power Generation (China) Co., Ltd. was officially settled in Xinbei District, Changzhou. Through years of development, the company has become a key foreign-invested company in Xinbei. Fei expressed the hope that the two sides would enhance exchange and cooperation in more areas.
Vice Mayor Mr. Fang Guoqiang and Secretary General Mr. Xu Xinmin attended the meeting.
