From August 10 to 11, the Tongling government delegation led by Ding Chun, secretary of the CPC Tongling Municipal Committee, Anhui Province, and Hu Qisheng, mayor of Tongling Municipal People’s Government, visited Changzhou. The delegation signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Qi Jiabin, secretary of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee. Mayor Chen Jinhu accompanied the delegation during their stay in Changzhou.

Qi Jiabin said in the meeting that Changzhou and Tongling are both important members of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration (YRDUA). The two sides have their distinctive features and advantages in urban development. Over the years, Changzhou and Tongling have maintained mutual learning and friendly exchanges, showing great potential and broad prospects amid the integrated regional development of the Yangtze River Delta.

Ding Chun said that Changzhou and Tongling are close to each other in terms of geography, customs and industry. As one of the 27 central cities of the Yangtze River Delta ("YRD") Integration Initiative, Tongling is willing to learn new ideas and practices from Changzhou to promote its scientific and technological innovation, and high-quality economic and social development.

According to the agreement, the two cities will carry out in-depth and all-round exchanges and cooperation in industries, industrial parks, science and technology, finance, social undertakings, talent pool, etc. Moreover, the two sides will explore a long-term, high-efficiency and pragmatic mechanism and path for integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.

During their stay in Changzhou, the delegates visited Lampo Co., Ltd., CRRC Qishuyan Institute Co., Ltd., Changzhou Science and Education Town, New United Group, Jiangsu Hengli Hydraulic Co., Ltd., Changzhou Siyao Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., the Industrial Internet Training Center and other places for further discussions on cooperation and exchanges.

Cityleaders Bai Yunping, Cai Jun, Han Jiuyun, Fang Guoqiang, Liang Yibo, Li Lin and Hang Yong attended the relevant events.
