Learned from News Release Conference of Changzhou’s Economic Working on February 22, Changzhou has achieved the GDP of RMB 358.04 billion, an increase of 12.2% calculated at comparable prices. In terms of resident population, per capita GDP reached RMB 77,473, equal to USD 12,000 (USD 11,995).
　　In 2011, per capita net income of rural resident increased by 17.4%, the actual growth rate of 11.8% after deducting price factors. The growth of peasants’ income was significantly higher that that of urban residents.
