On the afternoon of Mar 1, the government of Changzhou launched a live recruitment campaign, unveiling the first online job fair in 2021. Ji Peidong, member of the standing committee of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, and head of the Organization Department, came to the studio to address the campaign.  

During his speech, Ji stressed that innovative development is the core strategy of Changzhou. As a National City of Innovators, it pursues innovation as a primary task to drive economic growth and blends innovation into its culture. As the city aims to become an internationally-renowned city of smart manufacturing in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, it provides vast opportunities for talents around the world.

More than 100 enterprises and public institutions took part in the campaign, offering a total of over 1200 job openings. The positions cover a wide range of sectors, including new generation IT, advanced manufacturing, trade and logistics, finance, medicine and bio-tech, etc. As they are targeted at in-demand and high-level talents from home and abroad, most of the jobs offer an annual pay above 200,000 yuan, among which the highest salary is over 1 million yuan.
