On June 3, the First National Academic Forum on Intelligent Technology and Services was hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) at Jiangsu University of Technology (JSTU). More than 160 experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from 41 universities and research institutes in the country and 13 companies attended the event.

CAAI is the only national society in the field of intelligent science and technology in China. Experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fudan University, Nanjing University and so on, discussed topics on the use of big data in education and healthcare, smart tourism, cutting-edge technology of computer vision, etc. In the School of Computer Engineering of JSTU, there is a smart transportation system that uses image recognition technology to capture traffic conditions to serve urban transportation.

This smart transportation system can not only monitor data such as traffic conditions and traffic speeds in real time, but also automatically alarm water accumulated on roads or accidents.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the branch of computer sciences that emphasizes the development of intelligence machines, thinking and working like humans. The ultimate goal is to develop the creativity of artificial intelligence and give it full play in the field of art and intelligent manufacturing.
