In recent days, extensive economic and trade negotiations have been carried out in Taiwan by Changzhou economic and trade delegation, led by Fei Gaoyun, the vice secretary of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC and the acting mayor of Changzhou.

On July 27, Taiwan Lite-On Group signed with Changzhou a contract, which decided that an additional increase in the total investment of $0.45 billion will be made during the second phase to expand the scale of production, based on the first-phase investment of $0.6 billion.

The purpose of Lite-On Group’s investment increase in Changzhou is mainly to expand the development scale of Lite-On East China operation center in Changzhou. It plans to complete the second phase investment in 3-5 years, including the capital expansion of the existing business group, the R & D and manufacturing of LED lighting applications such as automotive electronics, street lighting and indoor lighting, as well as the establishment of East China R & D Center.
