The production and sales of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and EV batteries accounted for half of Jiangsu province’s total.
They also pointed out that over the past year, Changzhou launched the Twin Lakes Innovation Zone project, realized downtown revitalization, and stepped up the development of the High-Speed Rail New Town. The city has ranked among the top 10 in the China Major Power City Index (CMPCI) and 16th in advanced manufacturing.
They also noted that over the past year, following a science-based and targeted approach, Changzhou has adapted its COVID response in light of the evolving situation to protect the life and health of the people to the greatest extent possible.
As the old year has proven, the concerns of the people are what the city’s leadership always cares about. The fiscal spending for ensuring people's livelihood increased by 5 percent over the year 2021. Renovation projects spruced up 95 old communities. Air quality improvements ranked 6th nationwide. Changzhou was also rated as one of the happiest cities of 2022.
Going forward, Changzhou will implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and march toward the one-trillion-yuan GDP goal with its “532” development blueprint.
Going forward, Changzhou will press ahead with industrial innovation and upgrading, construction of key projects, promotion of digital transformation and supporting of market entities.
Going forward, Changzhou will give full play to its location advantages and transportation networks and continue to play a growing role in promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.
As Chen and Sheng said in their address, Changzhou is a people-oriented city that constantly evolves into a better place for living, working, studying, and traveling. For Changzhou to develop further, it will become one of the most attractive cities for youngsters to practice innovation and entrepreneurship.
