1、2008年11月10日，副市长韩九云在常州大酒店会见了美国纽约州代表团一行。纽约州与江苏省是友好省州。代表团由美国亚美商业发展中心组织，此次来常旨在商谈常州市与布法罗市建立友城关系事宜。

On November 10, 2008, Vice Mayor Han Jiuyun met with a delegation from the State of New York, USA, in Changzhou Grand Hotel. New York and Jiangsu are sister state/province.The delegation, organized by the Asian American Business Development Center, came to Changzhou to discuss the establishment of a sister-city relationship between Changzhou and Buffalo.

2、2009年8月13日，美国布法罗市长Byron Brown先生在古老的市政厅会议室举行仪式，热情欢迎常州友城代表团到访。纽约州议会、布法罗市经济发展委员会、美国亚美商业发展中心、纽约州立大学布法罗校区以及布法罗市企业界的十多位代表参加了欢迎会。在友好的氛围中，李沛然副秘书长和布朗市长分别代表常州市政府和布法罗市政厅签订了《中国常州市与美国布法罗市缔结友好城市关系意向书》。

On August 13, 2009, Mr. Byron Brown, Mayor of Buffalo, USA, held a reception for a delegation from Changzhou at the conference room of the old City Hall. More than a dozen representatives from the New York State Assembly, theBuffalo Economic Development Committee, the Asian American Business Development Center, the State University of New York at Buffalo, and the city's business community attended the event. In the friendly atmosphere, Vice Secretary-General Li Peiran and Mayor Brown, on behalf of the Changzhou Municipal Government and Buffalo City Hall respectively signed the Letter of Intent for the Establishment of Friendship City Relationship between Changzhou City in China and Buffalo City in the United States.

3、2009年8月25-26日，美国亚美商业发展中心总裁王章华一行访问常州。王章华总裁此行主要为10月份美国纽约州议会和企业家代表团访问常州开展前期准备工作，并着力推进常州与美国布法罗市的经贸交流与合作。

On August 25-26, 2009, Mr. Wang Zhanghua, President of Asian American Business Development Center, led a delegation to Changzhou. President Wang Zhanghua's visit this time was mainly to prepare for the visit of a New York State Assembly & business delegation to Changzhou in October, and to promote the economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and Buffalo.

4、2009年9月26-28日，美国布法罗市代表团访问常州，参加友城商会合作恳谈会、友城高校合作论坛和常州科技经贸洽谈会。

On September 26-28, 2009, a delegation from Buffalo visited Changzhou. During the visit, the delegation attended the Sister City Chamber of Commerce Cooperation Conference, the Sister City University Cooperation Forum and the Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

5、2009年10月15日，市委书记、市人大常委会主任范燕青在行政中心会见了由纽约州参议院主席马尔科姆•史密斯和众议院多数党领袖罗纳德•卡内斯特拉里联合率领的美国纽约州议会及友好交流代表团一行。代表团来访主旨之一是推进常州市与布法罗市之间的交流合作。

On October 15, 2009, Fan Yanqing, Secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, met with a New York State Assembly delegation led by Malcolm Smith, President of the New York State Senate and Ronald Canestrari, Majority Leader of the State Assembly. One of the main purposes of the delegation's visit was to promote exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and Buffalo.

6、2010年5月底，常州外办工作组专程访问布法罗市，拜会了副市长当娜•布朗女士，向她介绍了常州发展的新形势，常州与布法罗之间在教育、经贸、旅游等方面开展的合作以及已经获得的成果。

In late May 2010, a Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office delegation paid a special visit to Buffalo. The delegation called on Vice Mayor Ms. Donna Brown and briefed her on Changzhou's latest development as well as the achievements and progress of the two cities' cooperation in education, trade and tourism, etc.  

7、2011年4月底，美国布法罗市代表团访问常州，参加常州与国际友城旅游产业合作论坛，探讨旅游合作的意向。并于27日双方正式签署了缔结友城的协议书。

In late April 2011, a Buffalo delegation visited Changzhou and attended the Changzhou-Sister City Tourism Cooperation Forum to discuss potential tourism cooperation. And the two cities officially signed an agreement to become friendship cities on April 27.

8、2012年8月，以布法罗-中国友城事务主管武慧莲女士为团长的市民武术交流代表团一行13人访问常州，分别在我市人民公园与红梅公园与热爱太极的市民进行交流。代表团还赴盛毓渡小学小学与武术特长生切磋，并与龙城武馆的学员互相交流。武慧莲女士还应邀到常州市工程技术职业学院开展了为期一个月教学交流工作，并于在常期间专程考察了常州市疾病预防控制中心，以期促成双方在疾病防控领域的合作。

In August 2012, Ms. Erin Markle, Head of Buffalo-China Sister City Affairs, led a 13-member martial art exchange delegation to visit Changzhou.The delegation interacted with Tai Chi enthusiasts in the city's People's Park and Hongmei Park. The delegation also interacted with martial arts students from Shengyudu Primary School and trainees from Longcheng Martial Arts Club. Ms. Erin Markle also became a visiting teacher in Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering and Technology for a month. During her stay in Changzhou, Ms. Markle also visited the Changzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention so as to promote cooperation in disease prevention and control.

9、2013年8月，常州市副市长张云云率团访问布法罗市，与武慧莲女士、纽约州立大学布法罗校区孔子学院执行院长杨文中博士、布莱恩特斯特拉顿学院院长Paul Bahr先生等会面，就推进常州市与布法罗市在文化教育领域的合作进行了交流。张云云副市长还参观了武慧莲女士所创办的金顶东方文化中心。

In August 2013, Zhang Yunyun, Vice Mayor of Changzhou, led a delegation to Buffalo. The delegation met with Ms. Erin Markle, Dr. Yang Wenzhong, Executive Director of the Confucius Institute at the New York State University at Buffalo, and Mr. Paul Bahr, President of Bryant & Stratton College. They exchanged views on promoting the cooperation between Changzhou and Buffalo in the field of culture and education. Vice Mayor Zhang Yunyun also visited the Gold Summit Chinese Cultural Center founded by Ms. Erin Markle.

10、2013年9月，布法罗-中国友城事务主管武慧莲女士和布法罗布莱恩特斯特拉顿学院国际关系主任生晓弘应邀来我市参加“第八届中国花卉博览会”、“常州大学与国际友好城市高校合作研讨会”等活动。在常期间，客人拜访了常州大学、常州工学院、常州信息职业技术学院、常州工程职业技术学院、常州轻工职业技术学院、常州艺术高等职业学校、少体校（盛毓度小学）、金坛鑫品茶场等，并就今后开展合作往来交换了意见。

In September 2013, Ms. Erin Markle, Head of Buffalo-China Sister City Affairs, and Sheng Xiaohong, Director of International Relations of Bryant & Stratton College visited Changzhou and attended the 8th China Flower Expo and the Cooperation Seminar between Changzhou University and the Universities in International Sister Cities. During their stay in Changzhou, the delegation visited the Changzhou University, Changzhou Institute of Technology, Changzhou College of Information Technology, Changzhou Vocational Institute of Engineering, Changzhou Institute of Industry Technology, Changzhou Art Vocational College, Juvenile Sports School (Shengyudu Primary School), Jintan Xinpin Tea Farm, etc., and exchanged views on future cooperation and exchanges.

11、2014年6月，布法罗-中国友城事务主管武慧莲女士专程来常，提议寻找可能的常州方面的投资者到布法罗市建设常州文化村。在常期间，武慧莲女士与我市文化艺术系统的十多位代表进行了座谈，探讨了项目的可行性。

In June 2014, Ms. Erin Markle, Head of Buffalo-China Sister City Affairs, visited Changzhou and proposed to look for potential investors from Changzhou to build a Changzhou Cultural Village in Buffalo. During her stay, Ms. Erin Markle discussed the project feasibility with more than ten representatives from the city's culture and art community.

12、2014年7月，常州市委宣传部副部长孙春伟率文化项目友好交流代表团访问布法罗市。代表团拜会了市长拜伦·布朗先生，并于政府代表就在布法罗市建设文化村的项目进行了探讨。在武慧莲女士的陪同下，代表团考察了文化村的项目可选的几处地址，并与武慧莲女士的文化项目团队进行了座谈。

In July 2014, Sun Chunwei, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, led a cultural delegation to Buffalo.The delegation met with Mayor Byron Brown and discussed the topic of Changzhou Cultural Village project in Buffalo. Accompanied by Ms. Erin Markle, the delegation visited several potential sites for the project and had a discussion with Ms. Markle's project team.

13、2016年7月，常州市文化教育友好交流团、市妇儿教育交流团以及“双城记”常州市民团组出访布法罗市，一同在布法罗艺术中心参加了由常州市外办和布法罗市政府共同主办的常州儿童画展开幕式，在布法罗植物园与Brown市长共同种下了常州市市树广玉兰，在布法罗金顶东方文化中心与武慧莲女士进行了茶文化交流、太极武术交流以及京剧演出等，并参观了布法罗现代艺术舞蹈学校、皮尔斯艾罗汽车博物馆等。

In July 2016, three delegations from Changzhou - a culture and education delegation, a woman and child education delegation and a 'Tale of Two Cities' citizens delegation - visited Buffalo. Delegates attended the opening ceremony of the Changzhou Children's Painting Exhibition co-sponsored by the Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office and the Buffalo Municipal Government at the Buffalo Arts Center. They also planted a Magnolia tree, a city tree of Changzhou, with Mayor Brown in the Buffalo Botanical Garden.The delegates also had tea culture exchanges, Tai Chi martial arts exchanges and Peking Opera performances with Ms. Erin Markle at Buffalo Gold Summit Chinese Cultural Center, and visited Configuration School of Ballet and Pierce Arrow Car Museum Museum.

14、2018年4月，布法罗铃木弦乐团师生一行21人来常与我市师生艺术团开展艺术演出交流。在市外办的衔接下，代表团访问了常州外国语学校，并与学校民乐团共同呈现了一场精彩的交流演出。在常期间，代表团还参观了环球恐龙城，感受到了我市文化创意的魅力。

In April 2018, a delegation of 21 students and teachers from Buffalo Suzuki String Orchestra visited Changzhou. With the assistance of the Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the delegation visited the Changzhou Foreign Languages School and presented a wonderful performance together with the school's folk orchestra. During their stay in Changzhou, the delegation also visited the Changzhou Dinosaur Park and experienced the charm of Changzhou's cultural creativity.

15、2020年2月，布法罗-中国友城事务主管武慧莲女士代表友城发来慰问邮件，并积极向我市提供抗疫物资采购渠道等。

In February 2020, Ms. Erin Markle, Head of Buffalo-China Sister City Affairs, sent an email to express Buffalo's sympathy with Changzhou in regards to the Covid-19 outbreak, and provided information on PPE procurement.

16、2020年6月，值常州市图书馆新馆开馆之际，市外办积极联系到美国布法罗市发来官方祝贺视频，集中展示在由市外办和图书馆联手打造的常州市图书馆国际云专栏上。

 In June 2020, with the coordination of the Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Buffalo sent a congratulation video for the grand opening of the new Changzhou Library. The video, together with other congratulation videos from other sister cities, were displayed in a special section of the Changzhou Library's website.
