On the morning of Sept. 25th, the 3D Printing R&D Center of Trauson (China) Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. was formally established.
Founded in 1986, Trauson (China) Medical Instrument Co., Ltd. got listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange main board in 2010, and became a member of American Stryker Corporation, one of the Fortune Global 500 companies and the largest orthopaedic instrument supplier in the world. In terms of market share, Trauson now acts as a leader of China’s orthopaedic instrument industry, which is the largest manufacturer of orthopaedic trauma products and one of the top three spine product suppliers.
The 3D Printing R&D Center introduces the latest 3D printer which is the only one in China using metal powder instead of plastic polymer in the sector of orthopaedics . The center will also be the first one in China to apply high-end 3D printed bones.
Mr. Fang Guoqiang, vice mayor of Changzhou, said that the medical device industry is in now in its booming stage. Currently, Wujin District has gathered a group of high-end intelligent medical device manufacturing enterprises, such as Trauson, Flon, Yabang, etc. With the rising awareness of health preservation, the medical device industry will definitely enjoy a broad prospect.
