On October 13th, Changzhou business delegation continued the economic and trade activities in Switzerland. Party Secretary Yan Li successively visited the HQ of Saurer Group and Georg Fischer Group in order to promote the enterprise cooperation between Switzerland and Changzhou.

    Mr. Yan Li went to the HQ of Saurer Group first, and talked with its senior managers. In 2012, Jiangsu Jinsheng Group, which was located at Jintan, purchased the textile machinery business of Oerlikon Group, and set up the Saurer Group. Through this acquisition, Jinsheng obtained the advantages in technique, brand, R&D ability and sales channels, and established its leading position among Chinese textile machinery companies in terms of global high-end equipment manufacturing.

    At the HQ of Georg Fischer Group, Mr. Yan Li visited the product exhibition centre and met with the Group CFO Roland.

    In 2007, Georg Fischer Group set up an exclusively foreign invested enterprise at Hehai Industrial Park with an investment of 18 million US dollars. The enterprise is engaged in design, development and production of high-speed machine tool and its parts. In 2013, it realized a sales volume of 250 million US dollars with an increase of 80% over the year before.

    Mr. Yan Li said that he was glad to know about the recognition and affirmation of Georg Fischer Group toward the Chinese market. He hoped that both sides could further enhance cooperation. He encouraged the enterprise to increase investment and expand production. He also indicated that if the company had any new investment in the future or met any problems, as long as they needed the help of the government, Changzhou would give full support.
