On July 13, Chen Jinhu, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, met with Shen Yanan, co-founder and president of Li Auto Inc., and other entrepreneurs in the new energy vehicle (NEV) field.

Chen Jinhu noted that the NEV industry is posting a booming growth, while Changzhou has become an important industry cluster for NEVs and their core components. From January to May this year, the output value of Changzhou’s NEV industry cluster reached 85.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30 percent.

Li Auto’s Changzhou facility has developed rapidly since its establishment six years ago, said Chen, hoping to see more pragmatic cooperation between the Li Auto and Changzhou, which will bring into the city more talents and investors from the NEV sector.

Shen Yanan thanked the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government for their constant care and assistance in Li Auto’s development. He shared that since Li Auto set up its facility in the Wujin district of Changzhou, the company has achieved rapid growth thanks to the quality and efficient services from local governments at all levels.

Based in Changzhou, a blessed land for businesses, Li Auto will keep up with innovation-driven development in a sustainable way, attract more high-quality suppliers and professionals to Changzhou, and contribute to the city’s economic and social development, said Shen.

City leaders Hang Yong and Qiao Junjie attended the meeting.
