Changzhou police authority said on February 6 that during Spring Festival, the whole city’s social security was stable and in good order under meticulous organization and strengthened responsibility of all public security organs. No major or extraordinarily serious criminal case occurred.

During the holiday, over 2,000 policemen were on duty every day. They went on patrols in key regions like stations, wharfs, scenic spots and business districts, intensified examination on suspicious people, cars and items, and quickly responded to a variety of social security problems. The transportation was in good situation, and no traffic jam or any major or extraordinarily serious traffic accidents happened. The fire forces fought 49 fires, conducted 20 emergency rescues and saved 19 people out of danger.

It was known from the statistics that the passenger flow volume of Changzhou Coach Station amounted to more than 520,000 over the holiday. Scenic spots like China Dinosaur Park, Hongmei Park, Yancheng, Tianmu Lake and Maoshan Mountain,as well as major business blocks like Nandajie and Landmark received over 1.06 million tourists and 60,000 vehicles. The on-duty police of all public security organs held their positions, dealt with 562 disputes and offered 41,000 convenient services.
