On September 5th, 14 medical students of UK Middlesex University came to Changzhou No.1 Hospital for two-week clinical practice. This is first time for Changzhou’s hospital receiving medical trainees from foreign university.
　　UK Middlesex University has five colleges and four affiliated hospitals, with more than 2.5,000 students. In 2008 Changzhou No. 1 Hospital signed cooperation letter of intent with Middlesex University and set up the cooperation center in 2009. In October 2010, the British delegation visited Changzhou No.1 Hospital and held three-day China-British Medical Forum. Changzhou No.1 Hospital formally became the only designated practice hospital for the Middlesex’s students in China. In March, He Xiaozhou, the president of Changzhou No.1 Hospital visited Middlesex University and delivered two academic repots, namely ‘Chinese Health Care System’ and ‘Chinese Filial Morality’, which received good notices. Meanwhile, both sides signed the students exchange agreement. Changzhou has sent three doctors to Middlesex University for study. This time, two teachers and 14 medical students in the major of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, nursing, bio-medicine, obstetrics and gynecology came to Changzhou for clinical practice.
