On January 25, Changzhou National High-Tech District (CND) and Germany-based LEONI AG officially signed an agreement to launch LEONI’s high-end automotive cables project worth about 100 million US dollars in CND.
Founded in 1917 and headquartered in Nuremberg, LEONI is a global provider of products, solutions, and services for energy and data management in the automotive sector and other industries. The value chain encompasses wires, optical fibers, standardized cables, special cables, and assembled systems, as well as intelligent products and smart services.
In 1992, LEONI established its Changzhou branch in CND, the first German-invested enterprise in the city. In 2003, LEONI Cable (China) Co., Ltd. was set up in CND, mainly producing single-core cables, high-temperature resistant cables, data transmission and coaxial cables, high-voltage cables, and many other special cables applied to the automotive sector.
