On May 13, the opening ceremony of Minmetals -XD Coil Center (Changzhou) was held in Zhonglou Economic Zone.

Minmetals -XD Coil Center (Changzhou) was jointly invested by China Minmetals Corporation (No. 321 in Fortune 500) and China XD Group (first place of top 100 electric companies in China) in July 2008 with the registered investment of RMB 92 million. It involves the investment of RMB 212 million in first phase and has the design & processing capacity of 50,000 tons. Currently, the first-phase project has been put into operation. 

With the investment and support of China Minmetals Corporation and China XD Group, Changzhou’s power transmission and transformation industry will achieve rapid development.
