On the afternoon of September 15, the 22-member medical aid team assisting Yangzhou to curb the surging number of COVID-19 infections returned to Changzhou safely.
Starting from July 24, Changzhou has sent a total of 611 healthcare professionals to Nanjing and Yangzhou amid soaring outbreaks in the two cities. During this time, they sampled approximately 2 million people for nucleic acid tests, performed blood purification for 423 patients, and assisted local hospitals in infection prevention, epidemiological investigation, outpatient treatment, and rehabilitation nursing.
So far, all members of the medical aid teams to Nanjing and Yangzhou have returned home.
