On July 18, Huayuan Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. and its renewable resources and waste recycling center opened officially in the Jintan district of Changzhou. 

The center is the first of its kind in Jiangsu province that is managed and operated by a private enterprise. 

In Jintan, about 600 tons of household waste are generated every day throughout the district. Through a qualifications-based selection process, Huayuan Renewable Resources won the bid for Jintan's waste sorting project. 

The company plans to open 34 service stations across the district for renewable resources recycling, along with an 11,000 m2 large sorting center for waste paper, metal, plastic, glass, textiles, and electronic appliances.

“To establish a district-wide waste recycling network that benefits both commercially and socially, we need to give full play to private enterprises in this field,” said Mao Weiping, director of Jintan District Supply and Marketing Cooperative.
