The 6th Plenary Session of the 13th Changzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was successfully held on July 31.

In his concluding speech, Chen Jinhu, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, emphasized the importance of "taking the lead and setting an example." He called for a resilient spirit of "striving, pioneering, and practicality" to achieve the goal of one trillion yuan GDP and foster world-class new energy industries. Chen highlighted the need for advancements in industrial innovation, reform and opening up, ecological environment, public welfare, and social governance.

To achieve these objectives, Chen urged leaders to complete annual tasks, benchmark performance, analyze and improve, and promote major projects. He encouraged support for private enterprises, boosting confidence and facilitating bold development. Stabilizing employment was emphasized by supporting enterprises to foster a positive cycle of growth in confidence, employment, income, consumption, and stable economic development.

Chen stressed the importance of pioneering the Chinese path of modernization by driving the Twin Lakes Innovation Zone, revitalizing old downtown areas, and developing the High-Speed Rail New Town. Accelerating urban planning and coordinating development and safety were key points. Ensuring production safety, flood control, disaster prevention, grain production, pollution prevention, energy and power supply, and maintaining social harmony were vital.

Vigorously implementing all tasks with daring spirit was highlighted. Emphasis was placed on people-centered development, in-depth thematic education, extensive investigations, and research to benefit people fairly. All departments should be aware of opportunities, competition, and momentum to overcome difficulties and make significant contributions to the city's overall development. A working pattern of coordinated implementation from top to bottom was encouraged to create more high-quality development results that lead and set an example.
