The Student Activity Center of Qianhuang Senior Middle School of Jiangsu Province was completed recently, laying a solid foundation for the school’s drive to become a national top notch school.

With a total investment of 8.6 million RMB and featuring humanity, science & technology and arts, this modern center covers an area of 19,000㎡ with multiple halls and rooms, including a school history showroom, a zoological museum, a library and a great conference hall.

Qianhuang Senior Middle School is a provincial first-class school, and is dedicated to producing outstanding talents in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, philosophy, etc.

Student associations from the school have made great achievements. For instance, the Youth Physicist Association has won top national awards twice and top provincial awards twice; the Model UN Association has hosted the National Middle School Conference of Model UN for two years in a row; and the Movie Association has made a college entrance examination themed TV drama, the first five episodes of which have gathered great popularity online with over 600,000 clicks.

The renowned Zoological Museum of Qianhuang Senior Middle School has also moved into the Student Activity Center for greater openness to the public. The museum boasts over 1,800 animal specimens with over 300 specimens of animals under first class national protection category. Meanwhile, the cultural relics showroom in the center also boasts precious items like canoes dating back to 6,000 years ago. The relocation of these precious specimens and cultural relics into the center was funded with 6 million RMB by the Wujin District People’s Government.
