Changzhou attends the first China International Import Expo

The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) has opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Shanghai. The expo, which began on Monday, November 5, has 172 countries and 3,600 companies from across the world participating.

On the afternoon of November 5, Wang Quan, secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, led the Changzhou trading group to Shanghai and visited the Changzhou exhibitors. City leaders Ding Chun, Yu Zhiping, Cai Jun, Bai Yunping, Chen Jianguo, Fang Guoqiang, Liang Yibo, Xu Wei, Zhang Yaogang, He Yuqing, Wu Xinfa and Gao Honghua attended the event.

Changzhou attaches great importance to the participation at the first CIIE. The city organized a Changzhou trading group, contacted 205 companies and sent 78 invitations to overseas exporters. Saurer, EMAG and Heberlein, three business units under Jinsheng Group, have participated in the Expo. Saurer and EMAG, as the global leading manufacture respectively in intelligent textile machinery and high-end CNC machine tool, set up booths in the High-end Intelligent Equipment pavilion. Heberlein exhibited in the Medical Equipment & Health Care Products pavilion.

Wang Quan said that holding the CIIE is a major decision made by our country to promote a new round of high-level opening up and and actively open the Chinese market to the world. It is hoped that Changzhou enterprises will actively participate in the expo, focus on technological innovation, make full use of the important platform of the CIIE and grasp this opportunity to achieve enterprise transformation and high-quality development.
