The 2021 World Horticulture Expo will be held in Yangzhou from April 8 to Oct 8. Currently, architects and gardeners from Changzhou are building a Changzhou Garden for the expo.

The Changzhou Garden occupies an area of 6483.88 ㎡. It draws upon the tale of Su Dongpo, the great poet and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. Su spent the last years of his life in Changzhou, leading an idyllic existence. Changzhou Garden is composed of ancient architecture, farmland, and water networks, which vividly reflects the classic landscape of Jiangnan area (the southern part in the lower reach of the Yangtze River)
