Changzhou to boost new energy vehicles
Font:〖L M S

By the end of 2015, Changzhou will launch 1,100 sets of new energy vehicles, while the construction of charging facilities plays a primary role in the promotion of new energy vehicles.

At present, the only charging station of Changzhou is located in Fenglin Road, Wujin District, which was built in August 2011. After the updating of charging equipment in last June, there are four DC charging piles for large vehicles and two AC charging piles for passenger cars and small trucks. Generally, it takes about 2-3 hours to completely charge a large vehicle from DC charging pile, and the range from a full charge is about 100-150 kilometers.

Changzhou is one of the second batch of cities in Jiangsu Province to popularize the application of the new energy vehicles. According to the standard of financial subsidies in Jiangsu, people who purchase a new energy vehicle in the recommended category will enjoy a certain subsidy. Besides, Changzhou is speeding up the planning and construction of charging facilities. Currently, the city has one charging station and 115 charging piles. By the end of 2014, Changzhou is expected to have seven charging pile groups and add 105 charging piles. The construction of bus charging station in the Yangtze River Trade Center will be commenced this year.
