Changzhou will invest RMB 4.04 billion yuan on highway construction in 2014, of which: 850 million will be invested on national and provincial arterial highway to continue the construction of the eastern part of provincial highway 122 and provincial highway 263 in Changzhou, and to build the 3.5-kilometer-long first-class provincial highway 238 in Changzhou; 2.66 million will be invested on local major highway to build the western expanding part of the West Yanzheng Road which is a 12.6-kilometer-long first-class highway, and to complete the 18-kilometer  reconstruction of Jintan-Wujin Highway; and the rest 530 million will be invested on the construction of rural highway, which aims at building or reconstructing 349-kilometer-long rural highway, and rebuilding 108 rural bridges in danger.
