1st-phase Sino-South Korea game talents training class concludes

Under the support of the Ministries of Culture of China and South Korea, as well as the coordinative system of the two countries' game industries, Changzhou Creative Industrial Base and Korea Culture & Content Agency (KOCCA) jointly established Sino-South Korea Game Talents Trainning Base. On December 21, the 1st-phase training class held its completion ceremony, indicating that the bilateral cooperation has achieved substantial results.

 

Sino-South Korea Game Talents Trainning Base introduced teachers and materials from KOCCA, while the training fund of RMB 8 million was contributed by Changzhou Creative Industrial Base. The 1st-phase class attracted 100 trainees and was officially opened on March 29, 2010. The curriculum was composed of game art and game programming courses. Under the training mode of KOCCA, total 27 students successfully completed the courses and all got employed. In the practice phase, the participants spontaneously produced four games, and one of them claimed the PC Game Image Award at the 2010 Sino-South Korea Exhibition of Independent Game Design.

 

The 2nd-phase class will open in the coming March, expecting to involve about 200 students.
