On the morning of September 28, the 2020 China Changzhou Int’l Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation kicked off.
A total of 32 major projects involved in information technology, new materials, new energies, automobiles, CNC machines, and financial and leasing services, altogether with over 35 billion yuan investment, were signed at the opening ceremony. More than 500 representatives of well-known enterprises and institutions, including 350 foreign investors, attended the event.
The Forum has been held for 16 years in a row, during which over 300 major projects have been signed to settle within Changzhou, and more than 1,300 programs have been launched or put into operation, including world’s top companies like ThyssenKrupp, Siemens, LANXESS and AGCO.
At the opening ceremony of the 2020 Forum, the China-Germany (Changzhou) Innovation Park opened officially, and the “Changzhou Industrial Map” was released for the first time. In addition,due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some guests from Germany, Japan, South Korea and Israel attended the event virtually.
Based on a good foundation laid by the previous sessions, the 2020 Forum will renew cooperative ties and bring more win-win outcomes. Going forward, the Changzhou government will continue to provide efficient services, streamline its administrative approval procedures and create the best business environment for investors and talents both at home and abroad.
