On October 28, the Huaibei government delegation headed by Huang Xiaowu, secretary of CPC Huaibei Municipal Committee, and Tan Weiguo, mayor of Huaibei Municipal People’s Government, visited Changzhou. Qi Jiabin, secretary of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, accompanied the delegation on the visit.

Qi Jiabin said that Changzhou and Huaibei are both situated in the Yangtze River Delta  (YRD). With further implementation of the YRD Integration Plan as a national strategy, the two cities are seeing more areas of potential cooperation. He hoped that through this visit, the two sides will take the opportunities of YRD Integration Plan and step up strategic cooperation based on each other’s comparative advantages, in order to achieve a new level of high-quality development on both sides.

Huang Xiaowu commented that Changzhou, as one of the three cities that developed the southern Jiangsu (Sunan) model, many of its innovative philosophies and ideas for economic and social development are very impressive to Huaibei. He was particularly inspired with Changzhou’s practices in promoting industrial upgrading and agglomeration, scientific and technological innovation, and rural revitalization. Huang expressed to enhance cooperation and share successful experiences with Changzhou to enable improvements in all respects.  

During their stay in Changzhou, the delegates visited United Imaging (Changzhou) Healthcare Co., Ltd., Trina Solar Limited, China-Israel Chanzhou Innovation Park (CICP), Changzhou Tianzheng Industrial Development Corporation, China Graphene Industry Exhibition Center and the Yuejin village of Jiaze town.

City leaders on the Huaibei side include Fang Zongze, Chen Wei, Ren Dong, Li Jiayu, Zhang Li and Sun Xingxue. Changzhou leaders Bai Yunping, Han Jiuyun, Fang Guoqiang, Liang Yibo, Zhang Yoagang, Li Lin and Jiang Feng accompanied the delegation on this visit.
