On August 26, Changzhou held the Preparatory Work Meeting for the 2020 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Hang Yong, deputy mayor and secretary-general of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

In order to further implement the all-round opening-up strategy and to promote the exchanges and cooperation between Changzhou and other cities both at home and abroad in the areas of science and technology, economy, trade and industry, the 2020 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation will be held in late September this year. The Forum, as an annual event of Changzhou, has been held for 16 consecutive years, during which more than 300 key investment projects have been signed to settle within Changzhou.

At the meeting, it was emphasized that this year’s forum must focus on both inheritance and innovation, so as to enhance the brand image of the event and upgrade the level of opening up. It is also necessary to strengthen coordination among different departments, increase publicity to expand influence and adopt frugal and efficient work style, in order to achieve an all-round improvement this year.
