On October 22, the joint research team of the Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held a conference on promoting the digital economy of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region.
Yan Li, vice chairman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, hosted the meeting.
Li Yiping, vice chairman of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Chen Tiexiong, vice chairman of the CPPCC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, and Zheng Yongfei, vice chairman of the CPPCC Anhui Provincial Committee, attended the meeting.
The digital economy is leading today's scientific and technological revolution and industrial change. The digital economy of the YRD region includes the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui, and Shanghai municipality.
The participants discussed each sub-topic report and reviewed the first draft of the general survey report.
The meeting pointed out that the YRD region takes the lead in digital economic development, with remarkable achievements in digital infrastructure, industry, governance, and security.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, members of the YRD region should enhance cooperation in promoting technological innovation, industrial transformation, and digital regulation, and work together to exploit their strength in different sectors.
Sheng Lei, deputy Party chief and acting mayor of Changzhou, and Dai Yuan, secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the CPPCC Changzhou Municipal Committee, accompanied the joint research team on their inspection trips to Wanbang Digital Energy (Star Charge), the National Healthcare Data (Changzhou) Center, and Changzhou Microintelligence Co., Ltd.
