On May 14, it was learned from Changzhou Customs that the city’s foreign trade volume amounted to 19.51 billion yuan in April, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%.
Since the reopening of local businesses and schools, exports to Europe, the United States, Japan and South Korea have increased rapidly, accounting for 49.9% of the city’s total export volume. Exports to ASEAN member states and Belt & Road countries have become a new growth pole, of which the exports to ASEAN countries increased by 37.2%, contributing to 20.4% of the city’s total export volume.
In April, Changzhou’s solar panel exports reached 1.52 billion yuan, up 94.5%; exports of rail products made 70.394 million, up 56.7%; and exports of electromechanical products achieved 8.7 billion, up 19.4%.
