On the afternoon of September 28th, the 2016 China Changzhou International Forum on Science and Technology & Economic and Foreign Trade and the Launch of Changzhou Station of Innovating China Tour was held in the Longcheng Hall of the Administration Center in Changzhou.

Hosted by Changzhou Municipal Committee of the CPC and Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, this year’s Forum is themed with “Practicing opening-up concept, advancing key projects”. It will focus on the city’s initiative of “the year for advancing key projects” and concentrate on the further development of 10 key industrial chains and the progress of modern service industry. The purpose is to accelerate the gathering of capital, technologies and talents, and promote project investment, business transformation and industrial upgrading, so that Changzhou’s international reputation and competitive strength can be recognized by the world.

During the Forum, there will be 38 different thematic activities such as the Changzhou Station of Innovating China Tour, the Robotics Industry Investment Fair, the Intelligent Electric Vehicle Investors’ Conference, the Graphene Thermal and Application Seminar, the Second Meeting of China’s Liaison Conference of China-Israel Joint Committee on Innovation, the Sino-German Enterprises Match-making Seminar, etc.

This annual gathering is a landmark event in Changzhou’s quest for excellence. Since 2005 Changzhou has held 12 Forums of this type. It is with determination and tenacity that Changzhou will continue to strive for innovative upgrades and noteworthy cooperation every year. It is also the city’s chance to highlight the past year’s achievements and present the goals for coming years.
