Changzhou’s foreign trade turnover amounted to 157.1 billion yuan between January-June 2022 — a 10.9% increase as compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the Changzhou Customs on July 20.
Exports increased by 17.8% year-on-year to 120.46 billion yuan.
Mechanical and electrical products topped the list of export commodities by turnover, accounting for 60.8% of the city’s total exports, with a 16.8% increase year-on-years.
Solar cells and lithium-ion batteries led the list in terms of growth rate, with an increase of 61.2% and 30.5%, respectively.
In the second half of 2022, Changzhou will continue to maintain stability and improve quality, with policies implemented to meet the urgent needs of market entities and keep the fundamentals of the economy stable.
