On the morning of November 8, Jiang Pengju, deputy mayor of Changzhou, led a delegation to visit the Consulate General of Israel in Shanghai. During the visit, he held talks with Consul General Edward Shapira and Deputy Consul General Eytan Halon.
On behalf of the municipal government, Jiang expressed his gratitude to the consul general for his longtime support to Changzhou’s development. In recent years, Changzhou is gearing up efforts to develop new energy industries, as companies in life science, environmental protection and equipment manufacturing are gaining momentum. It is his hope that a regular communication mechanism will be established between Changzhou and the Israeli consulate, so as to push the bilateral cooperation to a higher level.
Consul General Edward Shapira expressed his full confidence in Changzhou and the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park (CICP). The consulate general will yield more support to the CICP, promoting more Israeli enterprises to come and make an investment.
During their stay in Shanghai, the delegation also visited some Israeli enterprises, such as Mobileye.
