Another one of the Fortune 500 companies sets up a branch in Wujin

On November 7th, the Commerce Bureau issued the certificate of approval to Benecke Changshun Auto Trim (Changzhou) Co., Ltd., a joint venture established by ContiTech, member of Continental AG, and Jiangsu Changshun Group with a registered capital of 25 million euros. The company is mainly engaged in development and production of automotive trim. So far, 18 of the Fortune Global 500 companies have set up branches in Wujin.

Continental AG, commonly known as Continental or Conti, is a leading German automotive manufacturing company specializing intires, brake systems, automotive safety, powertrain and chassis components, tachographs, and other parts for the automotive and transportation industries. Continental is based in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. Continental is the world's 4th largest tire manufacturer. Continental was founded in 1871 as a rubber manufacturer, Continental-Caoutchouc und Gutta-Percha Compagnie. ContiTech, member of the group, is a worldwide market leader of automotive interior coating materials, conveyor belts and air springs for rail vehicle.

The total investment of the Wujin project is 73 million euros, covering 108 mu (about 7.2 hectares), which is expected to achieve an annual capacity of 10 million square meters of eco-leather.
