On November 16, BOMAG (Changzhou) Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony. Zhou Bin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND), attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

BOMAG (Changzhou) Construction Machinery has a total investment of 70 million US dollars and a registered capital of 30 million US dollars. The new 30,000-square-meter plant will specialize in the production of compactors for soil, asphalt and landfills, as well as soil stabilizer and on-site recycler for asphalt pavements. The new company will also establish the Asia Pacific Engineering R&D Center and the BOMAG China Customer Training Center here in Changzhou.

BOMAG is the world's leading and largest manufacturer of road rollers. In 2018, the related sales of BOMAG China was nearly 1.3 billion yuan, and the sales in the Chinese market reached 610 million yuan. After the new plant is put into production, it will inject new vitality into BOMAG as well as contribute to the development of the equipment manufacturing industry in Changzhou.
