Labour Day, also known as International Worker's Day or May Day, is a public holiday in China. It is associated with the start of spring as well as the celebration of workers.

As Labour Day falls on Friday, May 1st, 2020, extra holidays will be observed on May 4th and 5th. These extra days will be compensated by working days on Sunday, April 26th and Saturday, May 9th.
