On May 18, it was learned from Wujin District that the planning and design of Wujin Station of the South Jiangsu Intercity Railway was released recently.

The station is located in the plot around Fengqi Road in Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone, with an area of 12,000 square meters. The design adopts the Chinese garden style in the area south of Yangtze both inside the station and outside in the square. The project takes “eco-station” and “seamless transfer” as its objectives, featuring differentiated waiting times, convenient transfers and a cozy environment for passengers.

After completion, the Wujin Station will connect to the station of Intercity Railway Station on Metro Line 1.

The South Jiangsu Intercity Railway, which begins construction in October 2018, starts from Nanjing and ends in Taicang, passing through Jurong, Jintan, Wujin, Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang and Changshu. It is connected to Nantong-Shanghai Railway and Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, and will be directly connected to Shanghai’s Pudong district in the future.
