It is learned from the 2015 International Investment and Cooperation Forum on Automobile Industry held in Changzhou on the 16th, December that Changzhou now boasts 164 automobile companies (including 104 hi-tech ones) above the designated size with an annual industrial output of 60 billion RMB.

The forum serves as a platform for attendees to discuss the intelligentization and electrization trends of the automobile industry, study relevant national policies, share cutting edge developments and seek potential cooperation.

As one of the ten major industrial sectors which Changzhou is actively developing, the local automobile and parts industry has grown into a substantial size with comprehensive supporting capacities. Changzhou is now working hard to bring in key companies, projects and technologies in this field.

As of now, Changzhou not only has a cluster of vehicle manufacturing and R&D companies but also boasts a group of hi-tech new-energy-vehicle companies. A large number of key manufacturing and R&D projects have been established over recent years, which showcases the city’s strong industrial foundation and its aspiration to have further cooperation with both domestic and international enterprises in new energy and smart cars.
