Between 00:00 and 24:00 of November 8, no new confirmed cases or asymptomatic carriers were reported in Jiangsu province. A local transmitted coronavirus asymptomatic carrier was released from medical observation on Monday.

At present, five confirmed cases are under isolated treatment at designated hospitals (three local and two inbound ones), and two asymptomatic carriers (both inbound) are under medical observation.

From January 22, 2020 to this update, a total of 1,603 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 148 imported cases) had been reported in Jiangsu cumulatively.

As of 21:00 of November 8, there had been six high-risk and 67 medium-risk areas across the Chinese mainland.

The six high-risk areas are in Alxa League of Inner Mongolia, Changping district of Beijing, Heihe city of Heilongjiang province, and Shijiazhuang and Xinji cities of Hebei province.

The 67 medium-risk areas are in Lanzhou and Tianshui cities of Gansu province, Xilin Gol League of Inner Mongolia, Yinchuan city of Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Changping district of Beijing, Rizhao city of Shandong province, Heihe and Harbin cities of Heilongjiang province, Shangrao city of Jiangxi province, Shijiazhuang city of Hebei province, Chengdu city of Sichuan province, Zhengzhou and Zhoukou cities of Henan province, Changzhou city of Jiangsu province, Ruili city of Yunnan province, Yubei and Changzhou districts of Chongqing city, and Dalian city of Liaoning province.

All regions outside the Chinese mainland (except Macao, which was at a low-risk level) remained high-risk areas.

Changzhou currently has three medium-risk areas: the residential areas of Jiuzhou Xinshijie Huayuanjunxi and South Gongrenxincun in Lanling sub-district of Tianning district, and the Hutang Yucheng residential area in Wujin district.
