Changzhou's box office revenue reached approximately 11.55 million yuan during the five-day period ending on May 3, a significant increase from last year's May Day holiday.
This year, new movies spanning various genres, including action, suspense, comedy, romance, and animation, catered to the diverse tastes of moviegoers. The top-grossing film during the holiday period was "Born to Fly," an action-packed movie that portrays China's elite pilots testing new fighter jets in a dramatic fashion.
Zhang Jun, vice president of the Changzhou Film Screening Association and manager of Wanda Cinema in Changzhou, stated that the movie market during this year's May Day holiday met expectations.
