At the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, a 16-member delegation of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) headed by Ali Mashal, director of Arab world relations and relations with China, accompanied by the Luan Jianzhang, Deputy Director of Research of International Liaison Department, visited Changzhou between February 19 and 21.

According to the proposal of the International Liaison Department and the actual situation of Changzhou, the delegation visited Changzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Changzhou Science and Education Town, Changzhou Planning Exhibition Hall and the Yancheng Ruins of Spring and Autumn Period.

On the afternoon of February 20, Zhang Yue, member of the Standing Committee of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC and director of the United Front Work Department of Changzhou Municipal Committee of CPC, met with the delegation at the Administration Center. Zhang briefed the guests on Changzhou’s economic and social development, and expressed the hope to foster more opportunities for exchanges and to enhance mutual understanding and friendship. Du Jibin, director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Sima Shuanglong, deputy director of Changzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Wang Dingxin, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, Jiang Tian, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, and Zou Deying, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce attended the meeting.
