A few days ago, the 2019 Jiangsu Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was concluded in Taizhou, Jiangsu province. The youth entrepreneurship project of UAV Emergency Parachute System from the Mass Innovation Center of Wujin High-tech Industrial Development Zone (WIZ) won the second prize of the start-up competition.

It is reported that the winner, Changzhou Xiaoyu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., is a leading supplier of aircraft recycling and UAV emergency parachute systems in China. The company provides customers with competitive, safe and reliable products, solutions and services in the fields of aerospace recycling, drone emergency descent, and so on.

The award-winning project is the company’s DPS UAV intelligent emergency parachute system with built-in sensing and battery cells and control unit, which can be operated independently or connected to the UAV flight control system. The parachute system detects 100 UAV flight statuses per second. When it is detected that the UAV is out of control, the system will launch the parachute to help the UAV safely descend. It is capable of recording 100 sets of data and has the function of black box.
