On March 30th, Tiziana D'Angelo, consul general of Italy in Shanghai, led a delegation to Changzhou for the 2nd Changzhou Business Conference of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce.
Mayor Sheng Lei warmly received the Italian delegation at the Municipal Administration Center and introduced Changzhou’s rich cultural heritage and recent accomplishments in economic and social development.
Sheng highlighted the impressive presence of Italian-invested enterprises in Changzhou, with around 87 companies operating in industries such as agriculture, textiles, machinery, and electronics. She emphasized the city's continuous efforts to improve its business environment and innovation capacity, further underscoring its commitment to exploring mutually beneficial cooperation with Italian enterprises across various fields.
D'Angelo expressed her gratitude for Changzhou's support for Italian investors and praised the close economic and trade ties between Changzhou and Italy, which have made the Yangtze River Delta one of the most concentrated areas for Italian-invested enterprises. She expressed her confidence that the 2nd Changzhou Business Conference of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce would foster further cooperation in areas such as economy, trade, science, technology, innovation, and industrial design.
The meeting between the two sides highlighted the strong and growing relationship between Italy and Changzhou, promoting a spirit of collaboration and partnership that will undoubtedly pave the way for more fruitful cooperation in the future.
