On December 12, East China Normal University (ECNU), Wujin District People’s Government and Jiangsu Zhiyuan Education Development Co., Ltd. officially signed an agreement to jointly build the ECNU West Taihu Affiliated School in Wujin, Changzhou.

Li Lin, vice mayor of Changzhou Municipal People’s Government and secretary of CPC Wujin District Committee, met with the delegation headed by Prof. Dai Liyi, ECNU’s vice president and education group director, before the signing ceremony.

Founded in Shanghai in October 1951, ECNU is one of the most prestigious universities in China sponsored by the national top university construction programs “Project 211” and “Project 985”.

The ECNU West Taihu Affiliated School, expected to open in 2023 at Changzhou West Taihu Science & Technology Industrial Park, is designated as a private school offering a 15-year program that covers kindergarten and basic education (six years of primary education, four years of junior high school and two years of senior high school).
