The highly anticipated 2023 National College Entrance Examination, popularly known as Gaokao, commenced on Wednesday, marking the beginning of an important academic milestone for thousands of students. In Changzhou alone, approximately 20,000 candidates have registered to sit Gaokao this year. The exam will be conducted in 654 well-equipped exam halls spread across 17 venues in Changzhou's urban area, Liyang, Jintan, and Wujin.

In line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu province has taken proactive measures to ensure the integrity of the examination process. This year, advanced scanning technology has been deployed to detect any unauthorized electronic devices, such as hidden cell phones, earpieces, and electronic watches that could potentially be used for cheating.

The Gaokao in Changzhou spans three days, concluding on Friday. Beyond its academic significance, Gaokao holds immense personal and emotional value for the students. It represents their aspirations, dreams, and the culmination of years of hard work and determination.
