Recently, the Standardization Administration of China (SAC) and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) jointly unveiled the national pilot projects for circular economy standardization, with Jiangsu securing approval for five projects. Notably, Changzhou achieved approval for the "Retired Photovoltaic Module Recycling" project.
This initiative marks Changzhou's inaugural foray into the domain of new energy within the national circular economy standardization pilot projects. Moreover, it stands out as the nation's pioneering photovoltaic recycling project selected for such a pilot endeavor.
Leading this project is Changzhou Ruisai Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., established in 2018 and headquartered in the Changzhou National High-Tech District (CND). Specializing in environmentally friendly treatment and recycling utilization of solid wastes from wind power, photovoltaic, and energy storage industries, the company is at the forefront of this endeavor.
In recent years, the company has developed innovative techniques such as the "Retired Photovoltaic Module High-Pressure Jet Grinding Method," which ensures minimal pollution and waste generation. Additionally, it has introduced the "Valuable Metal Green Leaching Technology" to optimize material utilization. Continuous enhancements to disassembly technology have resulted in a recycling rate exceeding 95% and a utilization rate exceeding 90%.
With a two-year construction timeline, Ruisai Environmental Protection aims to set the standard in the photovoltaic recycling industry.
