The World Brand Lab recently released China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands report in Beijing, China. State Grid, Tencent, and ICBC ranked top 3 most valuable brands valued around 305.6 billion yuan, 287.6 billion yuan, and 274.8 billion yuan respectively.

Changchai was shortlisted with the brand’s value of 7.313 billion yuan, ranking 401st, two places higher than last year. Its brand equity grew by 1.219 billion yuan in 2017, an increase of 20%.

The list of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands is released by World Brand Lab, the leading independent consultancy of brand valuation and marketing strategy in the world. It evaluates brand value based on three dimensions: finance performance, customer impression and brand awareness. The total value generated by the 2018 listed brands is RMB 1.844 trillion. Changchai is the only brand in Changzhou that has been selected into the list for 15 consecutive years, which fully shows Changchai's leading position in the agricultural machinery industry.

In recent years, Changchai has grasped the national key industry development policies, adhered to the implementation of innovation-driven development strategies, and accelerated technological innovation and new technology application. It has launched a number of superior products such as 4G33 series multi-cylinder machine, Hummer single-cylinder, 3M78/M403 light-duty engine, etc., maintaining a steady development and continuous improvement in the period of national market adjustment. The brand’s value has been widely recognized by all sectors of society. Since the World Brand Lab first evaluated China's 500 Most Valuable Brands in 2004, the value of Changchai brand has increased year by year. Over the past 15 years, Changchai has increased its brand equity by 5.732 billion yuan.
