On June 28, Creation Technologies Changzhou Ltd., a subsidiary of the global electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider Creation Technologies, inaugurated its new factory in the Wujin National High-Tech Industrial Zone. The ceremony was attended by Qiao Junjie, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of the CPC Wujin District Committee, along with Stephen Defalco, the chief executive officer of Creation Technologies.
Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, Creation Technologies is a leading EMS provider that offers electronics solutions to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across North America and Asia. With manufacturing operations in Canada, the United States, China, and Mexico, Creation provides a comprehensive range of services including design, new product introduction (NPI), PCBA and full integration manufacturing, order fulfillment services, supply chain solutions, and after-market services.
Established in 2004, the Changzhou facility serves as Creation's sole manufacturing operation in China. The company focuses on the research, development, manufacturing, and assembly of discrete components, sensors, hybrid integrated circuits, and new electromechanical components. In 2022, its sales revenue exceeded 350 million yuan.
This year, Creation Technologies has decided to expand its investment in Changzhou by constructing a new factory. Spanning an area of approximately 15,000 square meters, the facility is more than double the size of its predecessor and can accommodate eight high-end surface-mount technology (SMT) production lines. Once the project reaches full production capacity, it is projected to manufacture 6 million integrated circuit boards annually, generating an estimated annual output value of about 700 million yuan.
