On Feb 8, a promotion conference for sci-tech innovation platforms was held in Jintan District, Changzhou. Jiang Hong, the deputy head at the Provincial Department of Science and Technology, along with Deputy Mayor Yang Fen, unveiled the provincial Hua Luogeng High-Tech Industrial Zone. Also at the conference, ten technology and innovation platforms were signed, reaching a total investment of 5.18 billion yuan.

As one of the major development programs in Jintan, Hua Luogeng High-Tech Industrial Zone is targeted at strategic and emerging industries. It has developed industrial systems in new-generation information technology and new energy vehicles (NEV). By the end of last year, the Industrial Zone had gathered 41 NEV enterprises including CALB and BTR, playing an important role in the industrial chain of China’s power battery. 22 new-generation IT enterprises had settled in it, including leading ones like Sunway Communication, FRD.

The Industrial Zone is composed of two parts. With an area of 41.38 square kilometers, the direct-administered part includes Hua Luogeng Sci-Tech Park, Jindong Industry Park and Hohai University Tech Park. The jointly-constructed part has an area of 23.95 square kilometers, home to Zhulin Industry Park, Zhiqian Industry Park and Rulin Industry Park.

The unveiling indicates that the construction of Hua Luogeng High-Tech Industrial Zone enters a new stage, and that Jintan District embarks on the journey of high-quality development. By building innovation carriers, Jintan provides strong driving force for leapfrog development, striving to be at the forefront in the southern Jiangsu region.

The ten innovation platforms cover an area of 866,000 square meters, accompanied by talent apartments. Among the platforms are Sino-Japanese Industrial Cooperation and Innovation Center, Huake Digital Economy and Tech Park and Huake IT Industry Park. The innovation platforms will provide a better growth opportunity for all kinds of sci-tech enterprises, further optimize the environment for innovation, and upgrade Changzhou to a new level.
