Changzhou’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) for all items rose 0.9 percent in the first quarter of 2021, according to data from the Changzhou Survey Team of the National Bureau of Statistics.
Over the previous three months, food prices were up by 2.6 percent, while non-food prices fell by 0.5 percent.
Since the current situation shows no cause of sudden price spikes, the Changzhou Survey Team expects a moderate firming trend in the city’s CPI during the second quarter of 2021.
